Trail 6 (Hiking) , Islamabad, Pakistan

Start of the Trail
Hiking is one of my favorite free time activity and what better place to do it than Islamabad. Trail No 6 has been developed fantastically where one gets ample opportunity to see the nature.

This track is 6 km long and you can use your mountain bike to tread this trail.

Getting There:
Trail No. 6 starts from the back side of Faisal Mosque. You can easily catch a public transport to reach Faisal Mosque or if you are coming in your own vehicle then park in the parking lot of the mosque.

What you need:
Before coming for hiking be sure to have (as a minimum) :

1. Good hiking shoes where they might get wet as well while crossing small streams.

2. Water bottle to keep hydrated as no stalls/shops would be available in the near vicinity.

3. A stick (or a belt) in hand as the monkeys might come close by. Usually they are shy and try to avoid interacting with humans but as a precaution have something to defend incase they are antagonized by someone.

4. Although the trail is practically very safe for locals as well as foreigners but as a precaution inform someone about your whereabouts before departing on the trail as cell phone coverage will not be available.
